Cathy Green - Integrated Counsellor,

I am an experienced counsellor offering counselling to Young People and Adults, in-person, via video conference or telephone. I am also a trained Mediator, Advocate and Mother-Daughter Coach.
My experience has been gained working with young people across Northern Irelands Schools Counselling Service in Primary, Post Primary and Special Education and with adults on a wide range of issues within the Community, Voluntary and Private Practice.
Previous volunteer placements developed a passion for working more intensively with young people and older adults. Personal and professional experience has given me the knowledge and understanding needed to support young people and adults with additional needs, Autism, ADHD, OCD and learning difficulties.
Training and experience also gained working with the LGBTQIA+ community enhances my ability to work with a diverse range of issues and client groups, this experience has been invaluable in enhancing the support and understanding given to clients presenting with Gender Dysphoria.
Life experience and maturity has increased the diversity, empathy and understanding that I bring to my client’s work and enhances the therapeutic relationship. By working with clients in an in-depth way and offering choice, I can tailor the intervention to the persons individual need. This has proven successful for clients in providing positive outcomes.
