Welcome, and thank you for visiting Cathy Green Counselling.

My name is Cathy Green and I am a counsellor providing both short- and long-term therapy and Mother - Daughter coaching to individuals in Belfast. I also offer counselling by telephone or online, using Zoom and Whatsapp.

I am a qualified and experienced primarily young persons counsellor, registered with the BACP and NCPS Accred. I have gained substantial experience helping young people with their problems across the schools counselling service in primary, post primary and special education. I regularly work with university students at home and abroad.

I also work with adults on a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress and family relationships, within the community, Voluntary Sector and Private Practice. This has given me great diversity in my client work and I am able to counsel within a wide range of settings and groups.

I am also a trained Advocate, Mediator and Mother-Daughter Coach. The knowledge and experience I have gained over many years enables me to offer parental support and guidance as well, as I fully understand the different development stages that young people go through and the challenges they and their family's can face.

My Aim

As a counsellor my aim is to provide emotional support to people who are experiencing difficulties in their life's by helping them to address and work though their worry's and concerns.

Sessions

Sessions are offered face to face from my practice at Adelaide House Hawthorn Business Park, 1 Falcon Road, Belfast, Bt12. This is off Boucher Road, close to motorway links, Lisburn and Belfast, road accessible to all transport facilities and free parking. I also offer telephone counselling sessions and sessions online by video conference.

Availability

Consideration will be given to clients own personal commitments and the frequency of sessions can be agreed at the initial assessment, this can be negotiated during therapy if the clients circumstance change.

The first appointment

The first session will give us the opportunity to meet and introduce ourselves, a number of things will be covered such as confidentiality, safeguarding and timings. An assessment of your needs will be taken and I will be interested to hear your story and what your goals are for counselling.

Fees

Single Counselling Sessions

£45 per 1hr session

Mother-Daughter Coaching Sessions

£85 per 1hr session

Cancellation Policy:

While I appreciate life events happen, your session time is set aside for you, therefore 24hrs notice would be greatly appreciated, or session time will still have to be paid for.

Sessions can be paid by cash or bank transfer, payments to be made within 24hrs of session.
